Platitudes To Not-A-Planet Pluto

I'm sure everyone knows by now what we always suspected, that Pluto was always just a "planetoid" never an actual planet, and though it's been in the news quite a bit, anyone truly studying its properties would've seen the suspect qualities which would revoke its membership as a bona fide planet in our solar system. So the Milky Way now officially contains 8 planets, and several planetoids, to which Pluto is now consigned. But this changes more than our Galaxy, it changes the definition of those other bodies we've yet to characterize which very well may be planets, while on the other hand, reject those we thought were actual planets by their behavior near their star. A planet falls into a set orbit around a star, when it goes off into free space it's lost to that host star but when it remains it's considered worth our study as a place possibly able to sustain life in some form. Can you imagine finding such a planet with bacteria among its fires and floods? LIFE! And not just that, the actual beginnings of life as it may've happened here! We are privy to watching how life might've started on Earth almost 5 billion years ago - and yet among all this fantastic news I "mourn" for poor frozen Pluto, which now will lose a bit of its import. Still, think of the frozen liquid they found! Not water, but methane. The idea is, it's a chemical, so perhaps an atmosphere is viable. From there, anything's possible......

I could add a serious comment here but i think i will add a humorous one.  When i was school  I had to learn shorthand.  Trying to remember where all those dots and things went  was impossible.  So our shorthand teacher taught us a little riddle.  ManVeryEarlyMadeJarStandUpNearlyPerpendicularly.  Which is Mercury,Venus,Earth,Mars,Jupiter,Saturn,Uranus,Neptune,Pluto so now what will these poor shorthand students ever do  to remember where all those darn dots and things go,  (smile).

:(  I was actually quite sad that Pluto is no longer a planet.  Seriously.  It really bothered me.  I know Pluto doesn't care.. but I do..

I was really disturbed about this whole planet thing! My comment has been that if we were going to get rid of a planet it should definitely have been Uranus instead!

Still watching for your "25 things" entry!

Thank you for stopping by our journal. The first entry (if we remember) explains the provenance of the title.
As for Pluto, no bunch of sexually-deprived pinheads is going to dictate to us in matters concerning what may or may not be heavenly bodies. Pluto remains firmly ensconced in our firmament as a planetary entity.  ;)    {:~)>

The paleo diet is based on the idea that breakfast should be only foods you know and love.
All medical information needs to be in range for even the most obscure aspects of the diet are grains, wheat, corn and rice.
