I also have AOL/Verizon. As soon as I installed it, I couldn't believe the differences. My computer speed was tremendously faster! Of course, with DSL, journals download so much quicker. Journals can be graphic intensive, and I know there were some journals that I was trying to go to while on dialup that I had to stop going to b/c of the graphics. The pages (b/c of graphics, pics, etc) would just take thirty seconds or so to load. So I stopped going to those journals. Now I can go to them again and they take one or two seconds to load! There is also this issue, of course, of how wonderful it is to always have the phone lines free when you get DSL. Not a small thing to be thankful for! So you ask if you should venture in? I can't imagine venturing without!!!

Krissy :)
http://journals.aol.com/fisherkristina/SometimesIThinkAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6655038913540975453.post-55152267464570926732007-07-20T02:41:00.000-04:002007-07-20T02:41:00.000-04:00Cathy 2 Krissy: Thanks friend, I just may be call...Cathy 2 Krissy: Thanks friend, I just may be calling on you for help lol!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6655038913540975453.post-40200545864160102142007-07-20T05:35:00.000-04:002007-07-20T05:35:00.000-04:00I have a question: Is that your total Internet bi...I have a question: Is that your total Internet bill....$15?? I have been meaning to sit down and compare between Comcast package deal (i.e., Internet, TV) and Verizon (i.e, phone, Internet and TV) to see which program is the most economical. Right now, I know I'm losing money because I have Comcast, DirectTV and Verizon, LOL. Don't need them all! Can I suggest a really terrific deal that's reliable, reasonable, and much better than Comcast etc? try OPTIMUM. This is the server I wouldf use if getting the triple deal you have - all my family uses it and love it. $29.95 for each service, that's TV, high-speed internet and phone. I'll email you all the details, okay? Hope it helps! :-) Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6655038913540975453.post-84455223747769516372007-07-20T06:34:00.000-04:002007-07-20T06:34:00.000-04:00I have several family members on DSL.... no one r...I have several family members on DSL.... no one reported issues but one. I will tell you this, I was AMAZED at the speed of my computer after DSL was installed. I can do so much more in a shorter period of time!! Zip, zip, zip!! It is also nice not to have to worry that the phone lines are tied up! So, if these two issues are worth the extra money, go for it and smile! I am so, so happy I got it! I LOVE it!! I was paying the same price for my phone as I now pay for cable. And I so love love broadband. Journaling is pure joy with it. The computer room had DSL which was fast, fast enough. Otherwise I have not experienced DSL. I wish you luck. I tried to get free broadband with the ASU connectin but it was too unreliable for me. We HATE the cable company, and have a LOT of trouble with our cable internet dropping offline all the time. We have been talking about going to DSL because this computer wizard hubby know went from cable to DSL (I think with SBC) and hasn't noticed a bit of difference in the speed and hasn't had any of the trouble he was having with the cable also. So I guess it's just a matter of findin the right company. We have several friends on DSL who've never had cable and they just love it. I hope by now you have your issues all resolved.
