Some of us may be dealt rotten hands so to speak, but to me I take that hand and try and turn it into something that becomes a hand of beauty. I got sick and could not work so i turned to gardening, my hands dont type as a secretary any more but they work the soil and make beauty. My hands also create paintings, so I took those rotten hands I was dealt and made them become positive things. God bless you for thinking of others my friend.
Beautifully put, Luddie! I can name several people that I know, right here on AOL who have been dealt a rotten hand, and still they continue to see beauty and find humor in their situations. I admire people like that so much!
You are so right to point this out. I think that the human spirit is incredible. People can come to terms with and make something positive out of the worst situations. I wish that they didn't have to though, Kate. http://journals.aol.co.uk/bobandkate/AnAnalysisofLife/
Amen. As do I. I can't remember if I told you this while we were IMing the other day, Cathy, (am I brain dead or what, I can't remember???), but my husband has had cancer twice. The first time was non-hodgkin's lymphoma, the second time MDS (bone marrow cancer). He had a stem cell transplant this Jan. He has had complications but fights on. He is my hero. This entry makes me want to cry.
First of all, I send my prayers and well wishes to Krissy's husband. He can never quit - and it is important for him to FIGHT ON! God bless him - you know, I don't think it is the hand that you are dealt in life, I firmly believe it is the way you perceive that hand!!!! A positive ATTITUDE is eveything - My heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with all of you that are fighting the good fight - I survived breast cancer and I made it the most positive experience of my life. Now I am dedicated to helping others in any and all ways that I can. Be well. Gem

I'll join you and remind myself that on some days I'm the dog and on others I'm the cat.
