I am with Thee

as Thou art with me,

adrift on this sea

of uncertainty.

Together we ride

this ocean's rough tide -

In Thee I abide

though I've cried, how I've cried ...

             Yet wherein lies my trust?

             If needs be then I must

             return into the dust

             that sustains.

I fear no ill-word,

'Tis now barely heard,

For Thou hast unloosn'd

my chains.
