ANYBODY ELSE OUT THERE?? |
Con premisso, I'd like to present again the premise that life, in the 3 forms evolving on this planet, could very well be a mutation, a fluke, an amazing coincidence of the timing of one nucleated cell with one stroke of electricity from extreme lighting in one perfect little watery environment. It's either too chaotically organized or far too directed to be the natural result of a water molecule with a strong electrical charge, instigating this incredible mechanism of mitosis, no less miosis.

If this were, say, 1850 and two men on horseback were talking, think about this conversation:
"I heard they've come up with a faster way to get around", says one.
"Wow, faster horses", says the other.
These men are not thinking of airplanes or even cars, their only mode of ambulation is by horseback, so they're thinking "faster" means faster horses.
In this century when we think of inter-galactic life, we don't think of jellyfish, we imagine a humanoid or at the very least, a host body with appendages. Are we sure we'd even recognize intelligent life on another galactic body? Surely, we hypothesize, it would have awareness.

We need, I believe, to look at "life" in a more calculated, less emotional way, difficult as that is, for until humanity can accustom itself to the prospect if having only itself for company, we most certainly will continue reaching out, sending signals, listening, imagining, dreaming and....hoping hoping hoping.
Hope may spring eternal but who wants to live that long? Life is too, well - fickle!
Thank you and good night. I expect to change my mind by Wednesday.

hi Cathy! I've missed your blog! I love it!
Cathy... I've heard that we have received many communications from other planets already...we are just not sharing them with the public in general.
okay so here's a thought.... perhaps as the Tibetan Buddhists believe and many physicists...we are a part of everything else in the universe!
Okay..what say you?
hugs natalie

Hey Nat! So good seeing you, getting your viewpoint. First I have to dismiss the idea that we've received signals from other worlds, life forms, since NASA and the ESA are not the only ones looking and listening. It would've gotten out by now if not by us then by whatever we contacted (or contacted us) Still, an idea for thought!
Yes, I believe we're all connected to each other, every living thing. It makes the idea of life even more compelling, because if indeed we all share a connection - all through the cosmos, we need not bother with other life forms, other planets and moons having life - since WE are everything that is out there by virtue of this connection. Yes? We're searching for ourselves, it seems! WE are the Martians lol. Namaste my friend <3
Welcome back to the netherworld of blog dwellers!
I have enough company and cherish my alone time. My life will be short. I will be remembered by few, and by them only for a brief time. It is what it is. I am what I am. You are who you are. We are the past already. I know I have mutated several times while sitting here, just moments ago. Peace.
I think there is life everywhere, even when there are no life forms as we know them to be presented. It is all interconnected...like a complicated algebra problem.
Cathy hugs! Thank you for your last comments!
OK so..if we are so connected to each other and to everything why can't we get along?
love you, nat
You actually make it seem so easy with your presentation but I find
this matter to be really something which I think I would never understand.
It seems too complex and extremely broad for me. I am looking
forward for your next post, I'll try to get the hang of it!

The other day, while I was at work, my cousin
stole my apple ipad and tested to see if it can survive a forty foot drop, just so she can be a youtube
sensation. My iPad is now destroyed and she has
83 views. I know this is entirely off topic but I had to
share it with someone!

You are one of a kind. :) Personally I'm busy trying to outlive lung cancer at My Lung Cancer Odyssey while still juggling Patti's MS caregiving. Life is what it is.
Caregivingly Yours, Patrick
