"I Went To Make A Killing"

A small idea my mind had caught,

just a synapse, just a thought -

combined with physicality

the thought becomes the deed, you see.

And what was this my mind did rout?

A clever scheme I thought about -

I pondered murder of a mind;

There wasn't any other kind.

I'd kill the brain of which I hated

with which I'd argued and debated,

Such a one who made me cringe

and set me on this murderous binge.

This aggravating man believed

that he was smarter than perceived,

Such ego wouldn't let him see

how so much smarter most than he.

You quote the Code of Hamurabi,

speak the tongue of Abu Dhabi,

cross each Tee and dot your eye,

and still as clueless as a fly.

For you proceed to denigrate

another's views - and postulate

how you are surely always right,

I'm truly sorry for your plight.

So I set out to kill the brain

which caused me untold mental pain,

and when complete, I'd contemplate

the many ways I'd celebrate!

O woe is me!  What am I thinking?

Killing ideas without blinking?

Even if they're full of wind,

do this and I have truly sinned.

A person's views are sacrosanct

even if by ego ranked,

and each in time deserves their say

(I think I liked him anyway...)

And so the thought became no deed,

I feel in this I did succeed -

and happily, he stopped his rant!

Unfortunately, some others cant.....
