"Race For Summer's End"

I'm off for summer's last embrace

where all the contours of my face

will now be seen in every place -

for the clock itself has wings!

Printed into memory

the greens and blues I still can see

and all the folk who look at me -

the earth itself now sings!

Not a farewell tune at all

just a preface for the Fall

soon descending as a call

for red and golden rings.

People in a hurry now

to catch the summer's final bow

with every gift it does allow -

I love these wondrous things!

Hi Cathy! I just read your comment in my blog. Yes, I need to adjust, and not whine, LOL. I am helping others and asking them to hang tight, hang in there, try hard, not whine. Then I go about whining myself, LOL. Yes, we will get through this! It's hard though! Blogger doesn't seem as userfriendly to me, the templates I mean. Oh well, I'll learn. I am wondering how much it is me needing to learn, though, and Blogger needing to improve some things, LOL. Never the matter, we WILL get the hang of this if it kills us, as I already said to you, LOL...

So like anyway, I am glad you like the directory of blogs idea! I had it even before I went to Hershey about a month ago. Vish and I were IMing about it, and he asked me how would everybody be able to find each other? He asked me to think of solutions. That is when I decided to do the directory. I guess I am explaining this because I heard a complaint of, "oh no, not another list out there!". But I am trying to make this so much more than a list -- instead a real directory. When it is finally catalogued it will be good! Then we can use our imagination and see if there is anything else we want to do with the blog. The possibilities are endless. Right now I am trying to think outside the box. I know sometimes in AOL we all copied one another at times, in what we were willing to write about, only doing certain memes that each other did, projects that another would do. I want to be different at Blogger. Always fresh. See what ideas I can come up with, instead of going with the flow. Does that make sense? The possibilities are endless! What do you think?

Okay, I have to go get some things done. Please pray for John. In Hershey at the hospital he had five rashes. Or was it six? He got rid of them all. They were from all totally different causes, one was shingles and one was dissemminated versella zoster (adult chicken pox). Yes, on rare, rare occassions you can have both, esp. if you are a stem cell transplant recipient. And John being rare that he is, he had to go catch chicken pox, LOL, and on top of that shingles, even though he had had both of them before! I forget how it works but those who have had sct's can get childhood diseases again. Because they have no immune system is perhaps the reason. Did you know they have to get reimmunized after about three years out of transplant? Anyway, so he got his chicken pox again, I think b/c he didn't get the shot in time, LOL. He is going to need measles, mumps, everything allover again! So he got these shingles AND chicken pox, as well as urticeria (probably a drug allergic reaction - maybe to the morphine? He also got, oh I can't even remember now, LOL.

So at any rate, the thing he needs prayer for now is he has this unceasing itch because of a rash he has. He has been scratching fiercely for two days, and perhaps may have even infected it. We are waiting for the nurse to call back - Dr. Claxton's. Please pray also for his lungs, as he is getting rid of zoster pneumonia, as well as possibly fungal pneumonia. All the doctors argued if it was viral, fungal, or bacterial, LOL. So they discharged him with "multi-focal pneumonia"! And now he is trying to get better from it. He will have a CT scan in about three weeks when we go back to make sure his pneumonia is gone. Last x-ray it was improving, that is why they let us leave Hershey...

Okay, sorry this comment is so long, Cathy, LOL.

Love you, Krissy :)

It needs a nice piano/accoustical guitar counterpoint and some work on the bridge but I give it a 90.
