NOBILITY OF SACRIFICE

What matters more than personal sacrifice? And what should matter least of all is whether or not a war is "good or evil" - ALL war is unjust and unworthy of claiming young, vibrant, noble lives. This has naught to do with patriotism or heroics. Few soldiers rush into battle thinking how wondrous to be a hero, then charge into the fire. No, this is about sacrifice. AND WE REMEMBER.

You are so right about the good and evil of war. It is about the sacrifice and was for me.

This is a fitting acknowledgement of the soldiers sacrifice.

Thank you Cathy!
Isn't it amazing that it is so obvious but "they" simply cannot understand it?
I love when Americans speaks the way you did.
We need more and more Americans to be next to you and there are so many!
Love you dear,
Ana

I hope people die of sacrifice not for the sake of it. or the sake of their God or some greed for oil or land. But then, what would we have left to war about?

How true and pertinent your words are.
I'm thinking of the war in Afghanistan and those young men who are mutilated or killed, all through
the folly of politicians.
