"Into The Light"

This is my Uncle Jack and his wife Joan, at my late Mother's 80th Birthday, 2005.  My Mother was his only sister.

For all my family, my thoughts of wise Uncle Jack, who shed this mortal coil and became light on 6/1/2007.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Light into light - into that One Great and bright,
here, now, but somehow gone from our sight;
It's a light of joy!
This man, once a boy,
a husband, a father, a brother -
his sister, my mother, a light herself it seems,
came to meet him, with a smile -
and walk him into our dreams.
Now, for awhile,
we cry alone - we're human, we're prone;
But oh such a Light!
He is at peace, embraced by Our Lord
merciful, eternal and pure -
of that I am sure,
like the perfect chord.
He can never die, I say,
for he'll always be thought of -
and we can cry, it's okay -
for he has become love
to help light our way.
Thank you, Uncle Jack, for your intelligent humor and wise patience.  Safe journey - visit me often.
What a beautiful entry!!!  My prayers are with all his family and yours.  My heart holds a very special place for the spouses of any loved ones gone home.  My father died (2 years ago this month), and I remember thinking how hard that had to be for my mom to lose her LIFE  partner.  I mean, as much as I hurt, it was so much worse for her, because it was a life changing thing for her, someone she'd spent almost her entire life with, wasn't there anymore... i just couldn't imagine the pain of losing your life partner. My heart goes out to his wife, too, please give her a big hug for me!!
I can't think of anything more joyous than to know exactly where he is!  I well know that you are grieving.  I wish I could hug you for real, but one of these((Cathy)) will have to do.  Love and blessings, Penny  http://journals.aol.com/firestormkids04/FromHeretoThere
Such a sweet memorial to a great guy.  It's so good to know he's gone on to his reward to be reunited with family and friends.  Salute Uncle Jack!!
