What Are You Watching?

All my life I've seen and experienced the big guy cheating the little guy, the bully crushing the weak, the rich getting richer off the poor. I've been that little weak poor guy many times, and found out one thing: If I don't try to change it, why should you?
To complain about "them" and what "they" do feels right, but isn't enough. Once, when I had youth and immortality, I acted. I put my body on the line, with many others of the Days of Rage, and so-called Peace and Love. Peace never came and love lasted a hot five minutes. Who the hell are we fooling anyway?

The only action that made a difference happened during the Days of Rage and unless you were willing to get arrested and beaten, nothing much happened - day after day. I don't see any changes on the horizon do you? But that's no reason to just lay down and watch TV.

Just take a second glance at my friends here and if all you can do is register your name, you've done more than you did yesterday. Thank you for caring about humanity.

"I have this incredible dream that one day, one minute, the whole world, at the same time, will decide it's time for peace and love. So I just do my part. And I think that's all you can do. I'm not telling anyone else what to do. I do this, and that's the end of my story." ~Ringo Starr

Can't say I agree with Mr. Starr, Thomas. If you believe that all you can do is tell your own story and live it, you're leaving out the world. And if you're human you can't live w/o other people, so maybe a time comes when it's not enough to just state your opinion and walk away, saying "I can't tell others what to do". You certainly CAN tell others HOW to act to help themselves keep from being abused! It's almost your duty especially if your life is calm and easy. or if you're purposefully uninformed about the truth. Do you think Bilderberg cares? Course not, they don't think anyone will do anything. Maybe we should act, and never expect the "end of the story" until they're thrown out of power.

You always inspire me Cathy. Many times you write what I think and it's comforting to know that someone shares our ideas and concerns.
Thank you very much.
Love,
Ana

Not enough to be, must do. Not enough to talk it, must live it as example and yes, rage gets results. I like that site. We are all one, but only as strong as our weakest link.

Ah yes, the Bilderberg Group... there are a number of 'secret' groups who make policy that effects the world as a whole and manipulate our society.

But I do think that I side with Thomas and Ringo... with the caveat that greatness my yet be thrust upon me. Doing the best that I can to be as free as I can, loving and caring about the world is the attitude that I hope is contagious. Were I to be messanic, then I would be in the 'being' of that and I prolly wouldn't be here, journaling.

Yet even from such humble beginnings... who knows what is in store for me if I can but first be the peace, love and acceptance that I want to be in the world?

No matter the feats of the prophet Jesus, he lived a fairly simple life and did so until the end. And that was the end of his story, was it not?

Thanks Tony, I like the site! Speaking of old poetry ever hear of "SpokenVerse" on YouTube"? You'd like it, this one's recited there among many other gems. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rgR9xA2Tcbw
